The Cork Borer Sharpener is a plated metal cone with a hinged cutter blade set in a slot and a metal handle. It takes borers of 4 to 27 mm diameter.
Cork borers lose their shape and edge with use. The borer is placed on the cone, which restores it to a circular shape, and the edge is then cut to the correct angle by pressing the hinged blade down with the thumb.
