Gas Generator Kipps

The Gas Generator Kipps is a polyethylene Kipp's apparatus in three main portions, in which dilute acid reacts with a metal sulfide to produce hydrogen sulfide gas. The gas collects in the middle dome and is released through a leakproof stopcock with a self lubricating PTFE plug.
Dilute acid poured in through the thistle funnel and bulb at the top reaches a metal sulfide in the base, and the hydrogen sulfide gas produced collects in the middle dome. Opening the stopcock releases the gas as required. After use, the capped residual outlet in the base allows the apparatus to be emptied and cleaned.
