Kundt’s Resonance Tube

Kundt’s Resonance Tube is used to demonstrate standing waves and to determine the wavelengths of sound waves in air. It is supplied with a millimetre scale and a moveable piston for changing the length of the air column.
Moving the piston changes the length of the air column inside the tube, and the millimetre scale lets that length be read. This makes the apparatus suitable for demonstrating standing waves and for determining the wavelengths of sound waves in air.
