The Magnetic Field Viewing Film is a flexible sheet coated with translucent microspheres containing tiny magnetic nickel flakes suspended in oil, which align along the field lines when a magnetic field is present.

The film is also used for quality control, product demonstration and reverse engineering, as well as in education.
