The Magnetising and Demagnetising Coil is a 250 mm long solenoid of insulated copper wire, mounted on a base with a switch and 4 mm terminals. It operates at 12 V AC or DC at 6 A.
The coil is used to magnetise and demagnetise ordinary magnets, iron bars and similar items. Magnetising can be done with either an AC or a DC supply, while demagnetising is done with AC. The base carries a switch and 4 mm terminals for connecting the 12 V supply.
