The Orbit Orrery is a hands-on solar system model with a teaching guide, measuring 380mm across its largest orbit and 100mm high. Its sun lights up from 2 x AA batteries.
The orrery helps pupils understand the shape of the solar system and the sun as the source of its light. Working through the model and its teaching guide, they can follow the planetary orbits, learn the names of the planets and find which planets may be seen on given days.
