The Plant Press Wooden uses heavy duty 450 x 300mm wooden planks finished with synthetic paint. Two heavy C.P. tightening screws with fly nuts apply uniform pressure.
Plant specimens are pressed between the wooden planks, with the screws and fly nuts tightened to give uniform pressure. To lift the upper plank, the fly nuts need not be removed completely, as they can be tilted to the sides.
