Pooter

The Pooter is used for collecting flies, spiders and other small arthropods. It has a 75 x 25mm glass specimen tube with inlet and outlet tubes fitted through a rubber stopper.
Suction at the mouthpiece draws small animals in through the flared end of the collecting tube and into the glass specimen tube. The gauze filter confines the collected specimens to the tube. Flies, spiders and other small arthropods can all be gathered this way.
