DDAFRICA-001-0055
The Stirling Engine Low Temperature works at very low temperature differences and can run from a cup of warm water at a minimum of 60 °C. It weighs 330 g and measures 144 x 90 x 90 mm.
Like other Stirling engines, this one turns a temperature difference into mechanical energy as warm air expands and cold air contracts. The same air is pumped back and forth between a cold and a hot part of the engine in a closed system. Because it runs at such low temperature differences, water heated by sunlight can become hot enough to drive it.
