Tube Spectrometer

The Tube Spectrometer is a 150 x 28 mm tube with a 15 x 0.5 mm slit at one end and a 6 mm aperture holding a 140 lines/mm diffraction grating at the other. Viewing a light source through it shows the original and first order images.
This instrument introduces the concept of spectrometry in a simple form. When a light source is viewed through the tube, the slit and the 140 lines/mm grating produce the original image together with the first order images.
