Water Voltameter

The Water Voltameter is a glass cup with two platinum electrodes sealed in its stem, wired to two terminals on a 100 mm round wooden base. It comes with two graduated 15 x 2 cm³ test tubes and a holder to support them.
This electrolysis apparatus splits water into its gases, which collect in the two graduated test tubes held over the electrodes. The terminals on the wooden base connect the platinum electrodes to a supply, and the gas volumes in the tubes can then be compared.
